A New Test for Lyme

Lyme panel DNA Conexion Lab

This is a urine test that tests for 4 different genes that are found in Borrelia burgdorferi, the most common cause of Lyme disease in the US, and 8 common Lyme disease co-infectors including Babesia microti, Babesia divergens, Babesia duncani, Bartonella bacilliformis, Bartonella henselae, Bartonella quintanta, Borrelia miyamotoi, Borrelia recurrentis, Ehrlichia chaffensis and Anaplasma phagocytophilum.

Dr. Klinghardt recommends that the person being tested has a one-hour deep tissue massage before doing the test. Massage the areas that are tender or sore as these areas are often infected. This pushes the Lyme spirochetes out of the tissue so they will show up in the lab results. The first urine sample is collected about 20-30 min after the massage.

He also does autonomic response muscle testing.

Dr. Klinghardt finds the urine DNA test to be a very effective test for Lyme.

 Low-dose immunotherapy - LDI

LDI uses a homeopathic preparation to promote immune modulation – it settles down an over active immune system. Very helpful for people who suffer immune dysfunction due to the infections.

Extremely diluted concentrations of dead microbes (the ones causing the infections) are administered orally under the tongue once every 10 days to promote immune modulation. This makes the infection easier to treat.

The correct formula and concentration are selected by autonomic muscle testing and other possible tests.

**This must be administered through a natural health care professional.

Low-Dose Immunotherapy (LDI) – Dr. Karima Hirani

Dr. Brian Rade presented at the Lyme conference

He is a Canadian naturopath on the East Coast of Canada. He uses low-dose immunotherapy in his practice. LDI has been very helpful – he is able to reduce the number of other therapies and treatments he uses. It is a homeopathic preparation of dead microbes. The low-dose immunotherapy has many different formulas for yeast, Lyme coinfection's, food allergies etc.

Success is determined by three following factors: the right formula, sublingual preparation, and correct dose. If dose is too low= no difference. If dose is just right = see improvements. If dose is too high = patient feels worse.

He uses autonomic muscle testing to determine the right dose.

LDI does not work well if the patient is taking immunosuppressive drugs.

When using low-dose immunotherapy, it is important to minimize the variables so the doctor knows what's working.

**It is important to find an experienced healthcare professional that is not going to administer too high of a dose consistently as this will produce negative adverse effects.

**LDI does not treat the infection. The infection must still be dealt with.

**Also has LDA for food allergies and chemical sensitivities.

Natural Anti-inflammatory

Concentrated fish oils are very helpful. Chlorella plus fish oil is the solution. Fish oils trigger resolving peptide which turns off inflammatory DNA.

Metagenics have a product called OmegaGenics® SPM Active.

Potential Dose for OmegaGenics® SPM Active – up to three capsules, three times a day for the first month. Then three capsules, two times a day for the second month. Then three capsules onward. This turns off the innate immune response.

Heavy Metal Detox

The biggest culprits are lead, mercury, aluminum and glyphosate.

Lead and aluminum toxicity can be reduced by 50% in just 39 days using a cilantro tincture. Chelation would take seven years to accomplish this.

His dose is 2 pipettes of cilantro tincture, three times a day, 30 minutes before meals as this stimulates digestion. Also use an ionic footbath two times a week maximum. They find these metals are excreted through the liver and kidney by using the footbath. The heavy metals are excreted through the hair, urine and feces but not really in the water of the footbath.
